We are looking at building a custom player, probably using the javascript web playback implementation and are Just wondering what happens if a user (using a single set of credentials) starts a playback stream on a 2nd (or Nth) device if there is already a stream being played on a device.  Any info would be great, thanks

As you’re using the same credentials, we synchronize all of your devices. You can play from only one device at a time, but all devices are aware of what content is currently playing. You can switch any of the devices to be the “master”, i.e. the one that’s actually playing.

This is how all of our apps work, and how the beta JavaScript API works; I assume it’s also how the current Flash-based web playback API works as well.
