ready value when using jQuery Playback

So I don't know if I understood correctly how to use the Web Playback jQuery Library. 

I worked through the OAuth process and now I can login users in and it seems to be working because right after I give them an access token, I can make calls inside my server to currentUser and get their basic information to display inside the client webpages. So right after I retrieve a playbackToken and I make the call to $(#api).rdio(playbackToken) the value of ready seems to be null every time, the exception being when I am logged in inside Rdio in another tab. Shouldn't the playbackToken be enough to set the uid value of the player ?

Hi Rdodrigo!

The playback isn't enough, the user still needs to be signed into
www.rdio.com for playback to work.

What ? So the user needs to be signed into Rdio in another tab at the same time ? Is that what you meant to say ?

The user needs to be signed into Rdio, but the site doesn't need to be
open at the same time. The Web Playback API depends on the cookies of
a signed in Rdio user for full playback.
