Hey, I'm using the API for a webapp, and although I appreciate having new releases to RDIO in the new release section, sometimes I want to view only the *actual* new releases for the week. I've seen some topics about this in the past and how your ingesting your content it seems release date is always when this album comes to RDIO, but I also saw some old topics about a copyright date. Is there a reason why we cannot have some visibility into the actual release date (or copyright date for that matter) that I'm not privy to? Let me know, thanks!

Hi Andrew!

The Album.releaseDate is what is provided in the metadata we ingest.
As you've indicated, this can sometimes be confusing for older albums.
We augment our data with dates provided Rovi. We don't have the rights
to redistribute the Rovi data.
