Here's an interesting reading on a guy who's recovered 22 bikes in Seattle by cross-referencing Craigslist posts with Bike Index reports and confronting the sellers. I was surprised to find that the Seattle Police were willing to work with him, and also why the hell police departments can't use a scant amount of resources to do this sort of thing themselves.
