Saw a nice Bleriot (wait, is there any other kind?) locked to street furniture on Mass. Ave., near the Town Hall, on Wednesday evening. Put a spring in my step...

Should have taken a picture. Swept-back bars, not drops. Brooks saddle. Clean bike, clean build, everything in its place, well-integrated, beautiful.

Thanks!
So fun to see these in the wild.
Especially rare birds like Bleriots!

Happened across a Bleriot only once. Saw my first Rambouillet recently. An orange one at that! Stunning color; nicely built up and well cared for.

Seeing any Rivendell in the wild is always a happy occasion.

Best,
Richard

I’ve spotted a Foy, Custom, and an Atlantis before.Atlantis on a repair rack at LBS, other two on century rides. All upright except the custom. I also saw a dark blue “Rivendell”. But can’t know if custom or early model.

Another sighting but this time an Atlantis. My first blue-green version. Only other one I've encountered is a local rider's painted olive green.

Saw this one in St. Petersburg, FL. where I was visiting last weekend. Waited around awhile for the owner to appear and as luck would have it he arrived. Well worth the wait! Extremely nice gentleman who purchased this in 2000. Well turned out with Acorn bags and Compass 32mm tires. Even built his own wheels! We had a nice chat. Hoping to meet up again when he visits family in ATL.

You meet the nicest people riding Rivendells:-)  Picture below.

Best,
Richard

I've seen that one riding around, i waved and yawped "Bleriot" but the person riding didn't hear me. It's a beauty with hammered fenders, nicely swept back bars.  That was a great frame
Arlington cops - in my limited to one year experience here - are really rough on cyclists [i camping out in Cambridge for a year...riv content...with Riv tandem and my wife on her Glorious / i on a Kog [which i got instead of a Bleriot in 2006]
