Alright. Giving up the ghost. If anyone else has a problem with "overlap" in their stable- you know exactly why I'm putting this bicycle up for sale.
As mentioned in the recent post regarding the sale of my 65 AHH: the winter of 2014/15 was one of too much time working and dreaming, not enough time riding and that perfect blessing/curse situation where a bike you really really want appears FS on this awesome list...and of course it's in your size!
I have an Atlantis and another gravel/dirt touring rig, a Trek 850. The Trek has significantly greater tire clearance than the Hunq. Sad in a way, I know, but that's what it came down to. Additionally, the Hunq was basically new when I bought it. So I babied it. The Hunq never saw Vancouver Island, the Pacific Coast, the Lost Coast, Babyshoe, Lolo, the myriad Oregonbikepacking.com rides. Thinking about it now I never had the bike out overnight! All the while I was out there and, ya know- I just rode the Atlantis. The 850 is now fully built up and tackling all of Weyerhauser's ups and downs with esprit; it has proven itself. So I can now stop being a wimp and a hoarder and let this beautiful beautiful silver Hunq go...
