Dear RAxML group:

I'm trying to run RAxML through our HPC, which has this executable installed: raxmlHPC-PTHREADS-AVX2.
This is the error that I'm getting:

This is RAxML version 8.1.21 released by Alexandros Stamatakis on May 21 2015.

Do you think its a compilation problem?

Hi Ana,

it seems like you're trying to run AVX2 version of RAxML on a node which does not support AVX2 instructions.
So please either use a different node (Haswell/Skylake) or run raxmlHPC-PTHREADS-AVX / raxmlHPC-PTHREADS-SSE3 instead.

Also please note that you have very few patterns in your alignments (161), and hence should use maybe 2 or 4 threads but
definitely not 60 (it would only make it slower).

Best,
Alexey
