Hello my friends!! :D

How much time an expired document takes to be really removed or at least to cause impact on the indexes?
I saw that even if the document is not there, the index takes a little of time to update the quantity of documents and the manager does not show any index as stale.

Actual expiration takes about 5 - 10 minutes or so.
Only then is the document actually removed from indexing.
Between that time, it is hidden.

FWIW if you're seeing this behavior inside of a unit/integration test, like that the document is not actually removed from the server. Just delete that test.

If you want a sanity check for your system to ensure the behavior is operating as expected look for the Expiration meta data of the document, not that the document is actually removed.
