why are all models but "tree" grayed out and I cannot use them?

What am I doing wrong? Why can't I use any of the models but the tree model? They all appear grayed out.

Hey,

Use numeric input and make sure the partition in the data tab is active.

for converting stings into numeric you can use: as.factor(x),

It should work ;)
