Cannot get rattle to work on Mac OS X Mavericks

Would appreciate any help on getting rattle to work on MAC OS X Mavericks. I keep getting the message:

> rattle() 

Error in as.GType(type) : Cannot convert RGtkBuilder to GType

I got some errors when I first used rattle on MacOSX Mavericks. Try to get the latest version of R and then Rattle using command: 

install.packages("rattle", repos="http://rattle.togaware.com", type="source").
