new output variable for regression

Hi, I loaded a CSV file into Rattle and now I am able to see all the variables with the ability to set them up as input, output, categorical, etc. I want the model to have a new variable to be the only output of the regression, as all the loaded columns are candidates for becoming predictors, where the new (only output) variable should be defined? Must I create a dummy column (in advance) inside the CSV file to be used later as the only response variable? Thanks, Carlos
