Hey,
I have been working with databases for more than 10 years years and I want to learn web development. I have installed RailsInstaller without much problems. The part I have the most problems with is with configuring Apache and the like. Bottom line is: I am more and more aware that I lack basic Internet knowledge. This is a pretty general question and not specific to RailsInstaller, but I hope someone can point me to a good book or a website that got him/her started.
