are there any plans to upgrade RabbitMQ's license to version 2.0 of the Mozilla Public License?  i've read that MPL 2 is compatible with the Apache Public License, which would open some doors for folks implementing RabbitMQ components for Apache projects, such as this prospective Apache Camel component

We're thinking about it. I was involved in the creation of MPL2, and
one of the goals is exemplified by your use case. Please bear with
us.

This is under some debate internally at the moment. It is fairly
plausible, but I make no guarantees I'm afraid.

thanks, Alexis and Simon, for responding.

there's no pressure from my end, and i appreciate your being open to
the consideration regardless of whether it can be implemented soon or
at all. i just wanted to raise awareness between the Apache Camel and
RabbitMQ communities in case the licensing issue was not a foregone
conclusion after all.

best regards,

Has there been any movement on this? What options are available if the MPL 1.1 license simply is not acceptable for a project, but MPL 2.0 is?

Thanks,

Brent
