I am pretty new to R and would like to evaluate the options of consuming R functions through C++ or .NET assembly. Can you suggest the best way to start on this? - Any specific package or website demonstrating this?

Thanks.

Check out Rserver. This runs in an R instance, and I've used it from a separate ANSI C++ program to communicate with R running remotely. I think it works pretty well. I think you may be able to do the same from C# as well, since it's basically networking, nothing special but UDP or TCP/IP.

Rserver does not, however, embed R inside your .NET assembly. I don't know if that's possible.
