Given the poor state of their site (many links are broken, some content inaccurate) and the low amount of support from the community, is the use of Quick2Wire dead/dying?  What are people using in place of Quick2Wire?

Hi Jeffrey,

Shame about Quick2Wire as it's referenced in a lot of Raspberry Pi texts. I'm fairly new to the Pi (6 months in) and just starting a student project to develop a Pi or Arduino interface for an existing instrument. I gave up with Quick2Wire a while back when the updating stopped working so started to focus more on the Arduino side of the project. I'm using WiringPi routines now.

Regards,
John W.
