How to Monitor Inter-VM Traffic?

Is there a simple built-in utility to monitor the net traffic between my proxyVM and appVMs? (not netVM to endpoints)

xentop isn't registering any net traffic.
iftop can only monitor 1 interface and it seems the traffic goes through the virtual interfaces (vif) and not eth1.

Do I need to learn how to use wireshark?

This would be a nice ability.

I also would like to ability log all network traffic, including all allowed and all outgoing, which I've always done with iptables with rate limits. But not being able to do it in qubes makes me feel sort of in the dark.

I know its supposedly possible in qubes with some scripts, as I've asked before, but its over my head.
