Hi,

Is there a tool where I can monitor network traffic for the whole physical computer?

If I understood Qubes OS, the tool I'm refering to should sit on Dom0, right?

A tool like Gnome System Monitor is what I'm thinking about, as it shows network traffic, but I could only find it in the AppVMs, so it will only show the AppVM's traffic, not the whole computer's.

Thanks in advance.

No, there is no network in Dom0, it should be in sys-net.

You might want to consider using wireshark on sys-net

Thanks.

Now I realize Dom0 has no network activity - I forgott that :)

So, I started Gnome System Monitor on Sys-Net and it shows what I wanted.

Still getting used to all these different domains and their specifics.

Thanks to all, issue closed to me.

It seems interesting, I'll give it a try.

I should install it on the fedora-23 template, since sys-net uses that one, correct?

yes, but you may want to clone the fedora 23 template to experiment (making sys-net dependent from the cloned template). So if something goes wrong you simply deleted the cloned template and start again on the clean template.

you can just install it in the appvm first temporarily and see if you like it.

so install it in sys-net vm, and if you want to make it permanent then install it in the template.
