Windows 7 HVM with Qubes Windows Tools Installed -- Audio not working

I recently got Windows 7 installed under an HVM with Qubes windows tools installed (minus the gui agent because that doesn't seem to work on my system) and am having difficulty getting audio to work in the HVM and specifically would like to get the mic to work.

I am needing to use Shoretel Communicator for work and have not been able to get it to install using Wine

That being said if anyone has had luck with getting audio to work in a Windows 7 HVM I could use a bit of guidance.
