how did you burn it? dd? uefi bios?
images attachedone is of boot. the other is end of log file
by only targeting DL DVDs they restrict the marketplave they aim at.
they need multiple things... one basic dvd for install. then downloadable options to add in whonix and debian and fedora templates.
let the user choose which type they want to download... dont force everything.
I haven't had a dvd player for years and don't even have optical drives on my pc machines anymore. They will probably be obsolete soon like floppies lol. Plus they are less reliable. (scratches smudges) Qubes itself takes more powerful and special hardware then most operating systems. I don't see the need for a 5 dollar usb stick being more of a problem. 4gb usb sticks actually cost more then 8gb ones now online because they are already pretty much obosolete.
Regarding having to download the templates at install, this is what I always hate about installing debian. It can take forever and makes me feel vulnerable. Leaving out debian and whonix templates to download after install is fine. But i'm sure there is other priorities. The basic install would require at least fedora template imo. And I'd rather have a full Qubes system setup before i even connect it to the internet.
even regardless i'd feel better even just having the normal fedora vm proxies running before i connect to the internet. or am I being silly? I admit I am very noob just feels like common sense to me. If debian likes to make everything a netinstall thats on them imo.
who is everyone? even 5 minutes can be time if more important stuff aint done. This is open source project though i think so anyone can help out.
