You mean, as an outer layer of archive format, for better recovery in
case of some storage media failure? You already can do that (if sbxenc
tool accept input data on standard input), because you can easily pipe
the backup to some command in a VM. Simply put that command in place of
backup target (instead of directory path). And the same for restore -
put a command that will output the original archive on its standard
output.
Other than that, I don't see any reason for integrating this specific
tool into qubes backup tool. I mean - there are a lot more tools like
this or for related tasks. If we start integrating all of them, backup
tool will very soon be more like unmaintainable crap.
