How to change SBCL's current directory?

Similar to cd in Shen.  I'm looking at https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7735677/how-to-change-sbcls-current-directory but not getting any joy.

(setf *default-pathname-defaults* (truename "<pathname here>")) seems to work.  Just rolls so easily ;).
