improved concurrency + SLIME question

An improved concurrency goes into SP this week as a result of this weekend's work.

Someone was asking about SLIME + Shen. I know that people were working with this and certainly it had been done for Qi. However I'm not certain about the state of play for Shen. I don't use SLIME btw, but people do mail me about this, Clarification welcome.
