Hello,
what's the current status of this project?

from
https://code.google.com/feeds/p/pythonxy/downloads/basic

I can see that we haven't had many updates this year.

Are users encouraged to move to Anaconda?

Regards,
Timmie

The project it alive. 2.7.8.0 should be out within a week or so.

Choice is a good thing :)

They both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Thanks for the reply.

Not wanted to put pressure on anyone, too.

Regards.

Good to hear.

I love python(x,y) and, especially, spyder.  I've had trouble updating spyder within an existing python(x,y) installation, so updates to python(x,y) that include the latest spyder are always great news.

Thank you for this. choice is good but I have found Anaconda has a wierd licence. It really does not look like a free/libre nor open source licence. I think python(x,y) might be the only one that does.

Well, license wise there's also WinPython (but I think with less packages).
