Which version of sdk/ndk/API/build-tools python-for-android support?

Dear developers:
     I am new to kivy/python-for-android. I'm so excited that I can 
create app for android using python.
     But I also face kinds of issues to manage it. The most question in 
my mind is that which android sdk/ndk/platform/build-tools version does 
the latest stable python-for-android release support?
     Regarding from your example shown in github, it supports sdk r21 
and ndk r8c and also API 14. But I also tried to build with sdk r24, ndk 
r9c and API 17. It also succeeds.
     I can't find any clue about this, would you please kindly tell me?
