Hi all,

Just released version 0.6.0 to Github/PyPI: https://github.com/asascience-open/pyoos/releases/tag/0.6.0

Includes fixes and TimeSeriesProfile support. Please give it a spin when you get a chance, especially those who had TimeSeriesProfile data in a notebook that we saw somewhat recently (Emilio?  Dan?).

As an FYI, during my clean/build/install I hit an error on paegan. I got an error of:
"ImportError: cannot import name __version__"
I noticed it was trying to access some python modules not in my virtualenv, but in the System directories. I'm running OS X.
I used pip to uninstall then install paegan, and that worked. Haven't tested the code to see if it works, but wanted to relay this to the group.

Great, thanks Dave!

I can report that I've successfully re-built my Wakari environment with pyoos 0.6.0, and tested my pyoos / 52N IOOS SOS stable demo test, apparently w/o issues.

Look forward to testing this. Cheers,
-Emilio

Another update.

I used my new, pyoos 0.6 Wakari env to re-run this notebook:
This is the notebook that access a static, Milestone 1 multi-station, multi-sensor GetObservation response template file.

It looks like pyoos is now truly pulling in the observations from all sensors. I need to do more careful testing and assessments to understand exactly how it's working, but so far so good. Thanks!

Hopefully tomorrow (but late in the day), I will update the shared notebook and provide access to a notebook that bundles the new Wakari environment I've created.

Dave: from the github code (https://github.com/asascience-open/pyoos/blob/master/pyoos/collectors/ioos/swe_sos.py#L14), it looks like IoosSweSos.metadata() is still hardwiring outputFormat to be text/xml;subtype="sensorML/1.0.1". Given that not all ncSOS and 52N SOS servers out there will be upgraded at the same time to comply with this, I think this will limit our DescribeSensor testing options (testing of pyoos, and of the servers themselves).

I may end up making the change on a pyoos fork and creating a Wakari env based on that, to remove this obstacle. But may not get around to it next week.

Cheers,
-Emilio

This is the last message, I swear ...

My new Wakari env with pyoos 0.6 is bundled with this notebook:
https://www.wakari.io/sharing/bundle/emayorga/pyoos_ioos_sos_demo1
That's the same notebook where I bundled the env for the Python webinar, and that's mentioned in the github page for the webinar:
https://github.com/ioos/ipython-notebooks/blob/master/2014-02-12_DMAC_meeting_Emilio_and_Rich.md

Enjoy,
-Emilio
