[RFC] Can I change license from MIT to GPL?

I have to read source code of MySQL-python and MySQL server to implement PyMySQL.

PyMySQL is released under MIT license for now.

But I'm afraid I have violated GPL already.

If I change the licnese, I can copy some code (e.g. error message) from MySQL.

Any thoughts?

The MIT license of PyMySQL is a plus for some organizations, because the GPL license is restrictive for commercial organizations.
