Hi everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know (in case for some reason you missed it) that we are now open for registration for the education summit.

Within the first 12 hours about 19 people have registered - we've made the access code more generic this year, rather than tying it to individual emails, but do try to encourage people to sign up only if they really intend to attend - we may have some room to maneuver, but our space is not infinite.

Also, if you have any thoughts on people you would like to give invited talks in the morning (I guess you could think of the morning as a series of keynotes) please pass those ideas to me, Jessica, or Chalmer.

Now we need to talk up submitting talks, lightning talks, etc.

Just FYI, the invite text is below:

You are receiving this because you expressed interest or were selected to attend the PyCon Education Summit in Montreal Canada, April 10th, 2014

While we completely understand if you aren't able to make it, if you are planning to attend and just haven't registered on Eventbrite yet, I'l like to ask you to please register now. There is no cost, but your registration makes it possible for us plan and track attendance.

If you register, you will be given a badge ribbon at registration reading "Education" which is your pass into the Summit.

2) Use PYCON2014 as the promotional code (click the link right below and to the right of the "No Tickets available" message)
3) Sign up.

If you've already registered with a different email address, please disregard this message.

Social Media

Follow the PyCon Education Summit on twitter @PyconEduSummit (#PyconEd). We will have updates on schedules, speakers, and other items of interest to the Python Education community.

Please feel free to share this invite with anyone you know who may be interested in the summit and please consider proposing at talk or lighting talk for the summit.

Add Your Ideas

Do you want to see the proposals for talks and lightning talks for the PyCon Education Summit? Do you have a talk or lightning talk proposal yourself? Visit our google moderator page, https://www.google.com/moderator/#16/e=20c9f8, and add a proposal, or go through the proposals and select your favorites. We hope that everyone participates so that the presentations fit the needs of all attendees.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us or refer to the Education Summit page on the PyCon 2014 site.

Thanks!
