Just after some early feedback. Adding in some more mechanics with switches. Had an idea for moving walls or mines perhaps. Might be too big a decision space or the real-time feel of the flying kick might stitch the problem together in people's heads.

Nice mechanic :)

Got to this level:

#...........#
#..o..e..o..#
#..o..#..o..#
#..o.....o..#
#..o.....o..#
#..o.....o..#
#.#########.#

##...o...o..#
##...o...o..#
##...o...#..#
#....o..aaa.#
#.###########

#############

The middle section I feel like I solved somewhat accidentally, and then trying to solve the top section started to feel more awkward.

(Typing this out, I realise that maybe I needed to think more in the middle section to plan for the top section. Maybe not though, dunno)

This game is so original! I love it!
It feels a little dry right now on the puzzle side, though.
Everything else feels really good and polished!

I hope you don't mind.. I kind of added another puzzle element to it..

Enjoy! :)

Even still I feel it could use a few more elements... But I love this thing so much!

I believe I said it wasn't finished. I'm currently experimenting with switches.

The portals are interesting. The legion of messages can bugger off though - really unpleasant having to plod through them all. I know some people like a good story, but if you're going to waffle on during my game then it better be a really good story. See Porpentine's work for an example.

This is adorable like a fierce kitten.

I desperately want to see 45 degree bouncy blocks that send Mr. Kick flying straight up and then over, but it's up to you.

New build:

Thanks for feedback. Good to know it was worth the week or so of struggle to get the flying kick mechanic together. Stole a few ideas from elwood's layouts for pacing.

Ran out of objects. I have added switches that activate walls and breakable blocks that you can kick or hit with rocks. Also got floating spikes, but haven't used them yet. In the end I felt the best mechanics to add were more types of barriers. They're the most relevant to the mechanic.

I'm up to 14 levels so far. Going to sketch out a few more and then roll this one out to the public.

Okay. I think I'm done now.

Difficulty curve should be sorted out now. Kinda happy with just 16 levels - doesn't take too much of your time. I feel like there might be a bit more to explore but I'd rather tackle something new.

Sweet, I really love this.

The switches and breaking blocks work really well with the core mechanic. I really liked how the levels caused my thinking process to gradually go from "wow, my kick is so powerful" to "oh crap, my kick is too powerful, now how the heck can I stop here without breaking everything?"

For what it's worth, I found this one the hardest.

Yeah, I'll try and switch those up in the list. I'll have to look up how to edit an active puzzle script game now that Stephens ran off and posted it to the gallery :[

Also need to put in an end message.

Okay - found the thread with the instructions for updating a game:

Will swap those levels around and put in and end message as soon as I get home :]

Okey dokey:

Levels should be in order of difficulty now. Plus a pointless message at the end :D

I've been browsing some of the games here to get ideas on clever mechanics and I am in love with your game. It doesn't play like the typical PuzzleScript game and kinda feels like a platformer. Great idea.

Also, I'm stuck on the last level and it's driving me bonkers.

I cannot solve that level either.

Still, breaking every block... is it solveable ?

Maybe, I'm missing a movement.
