I felt this was far along enough to share it on the forum... I've had the idea for this for a while but I put in on hiatus for quite some time. I like Boulder Dash a lot, enough that I will probably be doing more with these ideas at some point. I like the teleporter mechanics a lot.

uh, should the rock fall to obscure the door? (it just happened when i moved to this location)

Yeah the door becomes non-solid when it opens so you can't enter it until then. I suppose I could keep the rocks away from the door...

Very nice!  You made good use of the teleporter.

The last monster's logic was very confusing.  Am I right in thinking it can see you through solid things only.  If there's any space, it is blind.  But how long does it need to see you before it jumps?

The blue monster near the end of the game is supposed to move as if it were entering a teleporter. Therefore, it will only move across solid spaces and needs an empty space to land on. If it's near a wall it will teleport towards you, otherwise it waits.

I considered making it move identically to the red monster except that is moved inside of walls only, but it's current rules are interesting to me and they allow you to avoid the monster if you understand them.

p.s. I updated with a couple more sound FX and I changed one of the red demon levels. I might add more blue demon levels, if anybody has levels they want to see plz let me know.

I'm pretty sure level 9 is not supposed to be like this: http://puu.sh/lJHQI/221ebfabbd.png Easy edit is to simply change lower left teleporter thingy to a solid wall.

Also, I only realized it's a key and a chest; when I first saw something that generates a diamond on collision, I was like, "what the heck are these? diamond shards?"

Currently at level 14 before deciding to stop for now. Nice work!

Thanks, Ivan! I've fixed the level with the teleporter, you're right it was supposed to be one-way.

experimenting with another mechanic once again inspired by the original Boulder Dash: LAVA!

I'm also considering how I would do the slowly growing slime, but that was always meant to give levels a time constraint which is hard to work into a turn-based puzzle.

I added another lava level because the end of this game wasn't deviously hard enough.
