syncing policies between datacentres

How do people usually keep the policies and other db elements in their razor installations synced between datacentres?

If I'm reading this correctly I notice that tasks and hooks can be stored in git and distributed by r10k. On the other hand there are policies, repos, tags which are stored in the database.
