I'm not sure what's happening here - maybe the Java update isn't compatible with FF 3.6. I tried the same config but with FF 6 and it ran fine.

All other java applications I can find have been working fine.

though I did notice 1 thing in the stacktrace of the starfield

"Detected from bootclasspath: C:\\PROGRA~2\\Oracle\\JAVAFX~1.0\\lib\\deploy.jar"
progra~2
program files  //~1
program files(x86)   /~2

then the JAVAFX~1.0
Although at first I was like thats odd, 1.0?  which pulpcore doesnt utilize javaFX(as far as I know)
then I realized under my progra~1\oracle folder I have
JavaFX Runtime 2.0 which then it occured to me, that I have the JavaFX 2.0 beta runtime installed which does "intertwine" and fiddle with the Java runtime a little bit.

I will try uninstalling the JavaFX beta runtimes and see if I can get it worked out and if that is causing the problem.

FYI,
JavaFX 2.0 beta runtime doesn't play nice with pulpcore.

Once it was uninstalled, they all appear to be working again.

I haven't done any testing with Java 7.
Any luck trying with other browsers (IE, chrome, etc)?

I really want to use this great framework.

But I dont know whats the problem here, I have tried the pulpcore site
in several machines with XP and Ubuntu.

Some times it worked fine for a time. Some times it only works in IE.
I cannot understand this behaviour.

I dont know where is the problem, is a caché problem?, a FF bug?, is
the java version?, a security issue? I am not a java expert but I like
programming, and this is very esoteric to me.

Configuration:

Windows XP 32 bit
Firefox 7.0.1
Firefox 4
IE 8
Chrome 14.0.835.187
Java 1.6 update 27
Java 1.7

I get the security problem.

I am going to try out in ubuntu 10.04 ....

In IE8 with an old first generation java plugin I can see some of the
examples, some others cause the browser to crash.
I couldnt try it out in ubuntu yet.

I've never seen a crash with older versions of the plugin.
Also - does anyone see the problem with Milpa?
It might be a problem with my webhost, which I changed around the time complaints started appearing on this forum.
I'm going to be out of town for the next 10 days. If anyone wants to try it, it might be worth it to attempt to duplicate the problem by trying their own applets on another host.

Yes David.

Everything seems broken with Java 7 (build 1.7.0-b147).

Tried : Milpa, examples, The TOP Bubblemark example (http://
bubblemark.com/PulpCoreBalls/)

Every applet crash... :'-(

Configuration : Win XP, Java 7 (build 1.7.0-b147), current browsers.

Well... Something weird...

I just removed my Java 7 JDK.
Installed Java 6 JDK update27 , and checked everything (distant or
local applets) was okay (and it was).
Installed last Java 7 JDK update1 , and... everything is running fine
now....

Strange...

Your browser is probably pointing to Java 6 instead of 7.

nope !

That was the first thing I checked before posting my reply.

pulpcore.java.version: 1.7.0_01

Would you please confirm that this bug is solved with last version of
Java 7 ?

Thanks
