Location : Westwood, MA
Duration : 12+Months
Required Skills:
Core technical skills: Visual FoxPro 9.0 or earlier, COM, OLE, ODBC, SQLServer 2008
Visual FoxPro programming knowledge: Deep expertise developing multi-tier, multi-faceted business applications and a strong hold on the following topics:
Creating enterprise wide client/server solutions
Parallel processing and state management
Developing technical design and complex business logic
Design, handling, and exchange of large sets of data within and across applications
In-process and Out-of-process component development
COM/OLE Automation, .NET interoperability and Extensibility
Converting DBF files to SQLServer
Reporting architecture and development
Application building, troubleshooting, and monitoring
Software engineering foundation. Demonstrates strong foundation in Software Engineering, Procedural and Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD),
Technical Architecture, Databases, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Web Services concepts.
Solution-oriented mindset. Demonstrates ability to adopt solution-oriented approaches to systematically analyze and deliver end-to-end solutions around
complex systems integration, legacy modernization, or other transformational programs.
Frontline leadership in software development. Skilled in all phases of agile and/or iterative software development, provides technical
oversight to geographically distributed teams, conducts design and code reviews.
Excellent communication and persuasion skills. Has strong facilitation and communication skills (verbal and written) to quickly
command an audience, navigate organizational structures, and influence successful outcomes.
Creative problem solving skills. Demonstrates hands-on creativity and critical thinking necessary to develop innovative ideas and
find fresh approaches for problem solving.
