outlook.office365.com cannot resolve for Office 365 access

This morning no one in our office in Gloucester (UK) could connect to Office 365 where we have used Google Public DNS without issue for several years.

Dig query gives following:

I have had to change our dns to that given by our Internet provider to fix the issue

I'm confirming that we have seen the same issues in Merseyside, UK. It's had the effect that none of our users have been able to use Office365 or Outlook today.

Here's an nslookup using Google DNS:

nslookup outlook.office365.com 8.8.8.8
Server: 8.8.8.8
Address: 8.8.8.8#53

** server can't find outlook.office365.com: NXDOMAIN

Yes, Microsoft's nameservers at some west European countries are returning us NXDOMAIN. Our resolvers at other regions are able to resolve outlook.office365.com.
