Numeric keypad

I'm looking at the shortcuts for the Numeric keypad, and some of them look pretty useful, such as turning on and off the Count Off, Click, MIDI Merge, etc.... Right now I have the keypad in Classic mode, and the reference guide says to turn it to Transport mode to enable these. My question is, if I do this, will I still be able to do such things as changing the Nudge value, moving to markers, etc...

Hi Jon,

Yes, the differences between those two modes is in the behavior of the numbers only and not the plus, minus, asterisk, etc.

Yes. Also, you can confirm that by just selecting the other numeric keypad mode and testing it. If, for some reason, I'm mistaken, you can just switch it back. Let us know what you find.

Yeah I thought about that but I was too lazy to wait for my computer to turn on him for ProTools to start up.

So I did some experimenting....

FYI, if you put the numeric keypad in Transport mode, the following functions still work..

You can still hit slash and change the location of the playhead,

You can arrow over to the nudge cluster, interact with it, and edit the Nudge value,

You can move to memory locations using period, location number, period. 

I think those were the main things I was concerned about before switching to Transport mode. I am now staying in Transport mode. Thanks for the help!
