Survey for participants in game-based AI competitions

Have you ever participated in a game-based AI competition? For example
one of the competitions associated with CIG or AIIDE conferences, one
of the Google AI Challenges or something similar? Maybe the Simulated
Car Racing Competition, Mario AI Championship, Starcraft Competition,
2k BotPrize, General Video Game Playing Competition or another of the
numerous competitions that have been held over the years? If so, we
would very much like you to share your experiences with us!

We (Sehar Farooq, Kyung-Joong Kim, Sung-Bae Cho and myself) are
working on a survey of game-based AI competitions, and part of this is
knowing what you thought of it as a participant. You can of course
