How do you delete the focus in javascript with Polymer ?

I know this should not be hard , but I could not find the answer on Google .

I want to execute a piece of javascript that will clear the focus from any item is on without knowing in advance which item the focus is . You have to work on Firefox 2 , as well as most modern browsers .

Is there a good way to do this ?
