Hello,

has anyone who wants to get PDF output from Pollen sources considered to
do it via ConTeXt (http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Main_Page) which might
be more programmable and/or easier to handle having more regular
structure/syntax than LaTeX?

Sincerely,
Gour

It is far better to discharge one's prescribed duties, even though
faultily, than another's duties perfectly. Destruction in the course
of performing one's own duty is better than engaging in another's duties,
for to follow another's path is dangerous.

Sure, but it's really no different than LaTeX as far as Pollen is concerned.

Yep...otoh, still considering whether to use Scribble or Pollen since it
looks that the latter is more suitable for web publishing and requires
more upfront work.

From wherever the mind wanders due to its flickering and unsteady
nature, one must certainly withdraw it and bring it back under
the control of the self.

I think you will be happier with Scribble.

Due to being more suitable for non-web technology or due to (possibly)
less setup required?

The work of a man who is unattached to the modes of material
nature and who is fully situated in transcendental knowledge
merges entirely into transcendence.

It certainly would not be hard to try both and see which you like better. The reason Pollen exists is because I wanted a more hackable version of Scribble. But if Scribble does everything you need, then Pollen's flexibility may seem superfluous.

I'll try both, of course.

That's clear and great and I'm glad seeing work to do PDF output with
Pollen which is certainly something I need/want...holding nice &
concrete book is always preferable here instead of (just) starring at
screen. What should we do when "Fahrenheit 451" is going to appear?

Maybe it does *today*, but wonder how (if at all) much is Scribble
extensible?

Perform your prescribed duty, for doing so is better than not
working. One cannot even maintain one's physical body without work.
