Mailto if Polarbar not already running

Using Ubuntu 13.10, JAVA 1.7.0-25, Polarbar build 2320.
If Polarbar is not running when I click on a MAILTO link in Firefox a compose
window pops up. Complete the message and click "send now" or "send later" the
window closes but Polarbar is still running. If I try to start Polarbar it
immediately ends because the compose has not finished. I can not end Polarbar,
I have to shutdown.
