For the most part, I want to put my SIG at the bottom of the E-mail. In general, I quote in text
from an incoming message & I intersperse my commentary immediately after each block of text from
the incoming message to which my comment directly responds. So the reply is structured like this:
---start of message---
> quoted
my two cents worth
> quoted
my two cents worth
> quoted
my two cents worth
SIG
---end of message---
But every so often I'm communicating with an organization instead of a person & I need to quote in
the entirety of the preceding dialog. In this occasional situation, I'd like to be able to tell
PBM to put my SIG above the quoted text for just this one message. Like this:
---start of message---
My response
SIG
> quoted dialog
---end of message---
I'm thinking a menu pick on the Edit menu of the Reply window would serve this purpose. A good
location for the menu entry would be just above or just below the "Quote original text" menu pick.
You might want to make the content of the menu pick be dependent on the permanent setting in the
Signature panel of the Persona, with the menu pick in the menu in the Reply window being the
opposite of whatever is in the Settings.
Of course, this would be a one-time thing. If you compose your Reply & PBM inserts the SIG . . .
wherever . . . and then you Alter Composed, well, the SIG is already in the message & PBM can wash
its hands of the issue at that point -- which is how it works now.
