Regular support by Oracle for Java 1.7 is about to end. For those of us who care about this, I have found that Java 1.8 makes no difference to the behaviour of PBM.

Right. I've been running with 1.8.0_31-b13 since the end of January and . . . well . . . Have you seen any posts here from me? I have to say it's been longer than I can remember since Java itself was a source of concern in any way for PBM.
