Beta 3 becomes unresponsive for me after it reports in the status bar that the current Bayesian corpus has been loaded.

Here are all of the polarbar.log messages from my most recent attempt:

2327?  Really?  Mine says 2328.  I would suspect you somehow have a mix of pieces from more than one of the betas.  But I'm just another dumb user so you should take that as a wildass guess.

The MSI installer was built accidentally using a copy of the version class that had 2327 in it. It's the exact same code as beta3 otherwise.

I am able to run the beta3 fine on Windows:

Same stuff (I purposely re-downloaded and re-installed the msi on the website to eliminate any chances something I tested locally wasn't right).

Polarbar 1.26 still works just fine. I guess I'll try nuking 1.27 from orbit and re-installing from the beta3 MSI.

I have some questions about the JDK.  I note that AdoptOpen has a JDK 13 available.  I'm on 11.0.4+11.  What is your stance on that?  I'm not looking for, "Well, you can try it & see if you like it."  I'm looking for, "Yes, go for it" or "No, don't bother.  I'll tell you when to move up to the newer release."  Their download page shows a choice for JVM: HotSpot or OpenJ9.  What is your stance on that?  I'm using HotSpot.  What are the pros & cons of the other one?  Should I bother with it?  Also, Gluon is showing a JFX 11.0.4 while I'm using 11.0.2.  What is your stance on that?  Again, I'm looking for just a simple upgrade/don't bother answer.

Java is on some crazy 6 month cycle, who can keep up with that? 11 is long term support, if it works, there's no reason to switch. Same with FX. What Gluon offers is paid support if you want 11.0.4.
