Join us on August 12th, from 8:30 – 12:30 for a FREE workshop to learn how to identify and track changes in our local wildflowers, trees, and pollinators! We’ll be monitoring seasonal changes to identify how warming climates, rising water tables, and storms affect our Park’s plants and animals.
Data collected will contribute directly to two national and regional research projects and help scientists answer questions such as:
-Are warming temperatures causing trees to leaf out early?
-Are native and invasive species responding differently to climate change?
-Is climate change affecting tropical bird migration to the Gulf Coast?
-Is there a east - west spring progression along the Gulf Coast?
