Stevie --
This Saturday, the L'Eau Est La Vie Camp invites you to join a #Stop ETP Flotilla down Bayou Lafourche.
The Flotilla is one of several events taking place across the country on Sept. 9 as part of a national #StopETP Day of Action -- ETP being Energy Transfer Partners, the company behind the proposed Bayou Bridge pipeline, the infamous Dakota Access pipeline, and many other dirty fuel projects across the country that our Water Protector allies are organizing to resist.
ETP has spilled millions of gallons of toxic fluids, and destroyed historic sites while constructing its Rover and Mariner East Pipelines. [1,2]
The company's proposed Bayou Bridge pipeline would disturb 700 bodies of water across 11 Louisiana parishes -- including the drinking waters of Indigenous and Cajun communities along Bayou Lafourche.
We must protect our water -- Water is Life! (or, L'eau Est La Vie!) Along with the flotilla, the L'Eau Est La Vie Camp will be canvassing in local communities about the campaign to stop ETP and this proposed pipeline.
You’re also invited to join a pre-flotilla healing peaceful action on Saturday morning: "Prayer To Stop a Pipeline." Learn more and RSVP here.
We look forward to seeing you this weekend. L'Eau Est La Vie!
