Filter query used to work

Hello!

This query used to work with the alm_twitterCount variable and a range query

http://api.plos.org/search?api_key=af&q=*:*&fl=id,alm_twitterCount&rows=10&wt=json&fq=alm_twitterCount:[1%20TO%20100]

and give results, but this is saying no results found, which I imagine is not true? 

Which is weird because the same query with a different variable (counter_total_all) works:

http://api.plos.org/search?api_key=af&q=*:*&fl=id,alm_twitterCount&rows=10&wt=json&fq=counter_total_all:[1%20TO%201000]

So perhaps the variable alm_twitterCount name has changed?
