If you're using Play WS in Play, you should use play-ahc-ws, because it has Play classes and wrappers on it.

If you're using Play WS without Play, you should use play-ahc-ws-standalone.

play-ws not standalone? it's depends on play framework libraries?

"com.typesafe.play" %% "play-ahc-ws-standalone" % "1.0.4" % "provided",
  "com.typesafe.play" %% "play-ws" % "2.6.3" % "provided",

Can i use play-ws if i just need ws outside the play?
