[Play 2.3.x] - FileNotFoundException/No application found at invoker init

I am trying to help a colleague to run our Play application inside a Virtualbox machine. But we keep getting these errors. Our first theory was that the problem was lack of memory but now he has 12GB of which 8GB is assigned to the virtual machine.

What could be the problem? The files that isn't found in target do exist in public...checkboxTree...smoothness/images....
