I am currently working on a 12 minute documentary about the rise of driverless cars in Phoenix and what it will mean for the future of transport and urban planning.
I also want to talk about the fact that driverless cars are of course controlled by software and that software could be potentially hacked.
I am looking for someone who could explain to me how a car software (LIDAR in particular) could be hacked.
I was wondering if you or someone you know could talk to me about this.
I remain at your disposal should you have further questions.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Best regards,
Edward

Some coworkers and I have been brainstorming what we've called "The Wile E. Coyote Attack". Basically, you put some LIDAR absorbent material in front of the car to try and trick it into thinking the road keeps on going.-Alt
