rails render does not work under passenger

I use passenger to deploy a rails application with apache2.

Everything works well except thoes controller use rails render text as output.

The apache and rails log does not show anything wrong. The http response status code is 200. Only but chrome fail to load the response data.

Could anyone tell what's wrong please? Any help will be highly appreciated!

You could try setting the passenger loglevel to 7 (https://www.phusionpassenger.com/library/config/apache/reference/#passengerloglevel) and see if your app is sending out a valid response body.
