It looks like recent versions of nginx support dynamic modules:
"In NGINX 1.9.11 onwards a new way of loading modules dynamically has been introduced. This means that selected modules can be loaded into NGINX at runtime based on configuration files. They can also be unloaded by editing the configuration files and reloading NGINX."
Is there any support for using Passenger with nginx as a dynamic module, so recompiling nginx isn't required? This could make Passenger a lot easier to install and manage, avoid the need for a separate nginx install conflicting with possible base OS passenger install, and the confusion that results there, letting you keep using your ordinary package manager for nginx installation. I think?
Any thoughts?
