There have been discussions between the working groups of the HTTP Factories PSR and Simple Cache PSR about the numbering. The Simple Cache team requested they could use the number PSR-16 as PSR-6 is normal cache and it has a certain harmony to it. The HTTP Factories WG agreed to this.

We (secretaries) saw no huge issue with this so we're waiting until the Simple Cache PSR passes the day after tomorrow (as it will pass unless anything dramatically changes) at which point we'll assign them both numbers at the same time with the requests for different numbers observed. If Simple Cache doesn't pass then HTTP Factories will just be announced as PSR-16 as normal.

If there are any objections to this then please say.

I think this is a nice touch. No objection, and good form!

If all the involved Editors/Sponsors are OK with it, I have no problem
with the Secretaries, er, doing the paperwork out of order. :-)

(Cute North/South Dakota reference...)

Realization: This would also make the PSR-7 follow up, HTTP factories,
PSR-17. It could start a trend!

Hi Joe,

just for the records, does your "27" count include the rogue vote for
Composer from someone who's definitely not Jordi?

Cheers

Matteo,

I did not count that vote since Jordi had already cast a vote for Composer.

Upon reviewing the voting thread and comparing with our voting spreadsheet. It appears that a vote for Stash was counted when Robert did not cast a vote in the voting thread. This explains why my report included an extra vote that Dracony's did not.

The correct voting reports (as reported by Dracony in the previous thread)

+1 - 26
+0 - 1

Sorry for the confusion and the classic off by one error. I'll try not to get involved in any land wars in Asia.
